^ Official Tour de France history 1930 Archived at the Wayback Machine (in French).^ "Tour Xtra: General Team Classification".Team classification in the Vuelta a España.Team classification in the Giro d'Italia.Winners Team classification Team classification winners Yearīetween 19, there was an additional team points classification. If a team has fewer than three cyclists remaining, it is removed from this classification. In a team time trial, the team gets the time of the fifth rider of that team to cross the finish, or the last rider if there are fewer than five left for the team. Calculation Īs of 2011, the team classification is calculated by adding the times of the three best riders of each team per stage time bonuses and penalties are ignored. In 2010, a system was set up to determine which teams qualify as UCI ProTeams, and the team classification in the Tour de France was part of this system. Ī good performance in the team classification may help a team to qualify for the next Tour de France. When Lance Armstrong lost hopes of winning in 2010, he instructed his teammates to keep an eye on their main rivals for the team classification, and his Team RadioShack won the team classification. If during the race a team is in a good position to win the team classification, the team may change tactics in order to win. The team classification is considered less important than the individual general classification, and it is rare that a team starts the Tour with the main goal of winning the team classification. Beginning in 2012 the best team was awarded the right, but not the obligation, to wear yellow helmets. Since 2006 the best team has worn black on yellow back numbers. īetween 19, the team classification leaders could be recognized by yellow caps, until helmets became mandatory. In the 1970s, this system was reintroduced as the team points competition, although in a different way: after every stage, all cyclists received points (1 for the winner, 2 for the second, etc.) and these were added, and the team with the fewest points was the winner of the team points classification. This system was also used in 1962, but in 1963 the calculation was reverted to the time calculation. The team classification was changed into a points system, where a team received one point for the best team-time in the stage, and the team with the most points was the winner. In 1930, the classification was calculated by adding the times of the three best cyclists in the general classification. Between 19 and after 1969, sponsored teams entered the race.Īt the introduction of teams in 1930, a prize for the winning team was introduced, then called the Challenge international. This was the situation in the Tours of 1930– 19– 1968. He was still against sponsors assistance, so the cyclists were grouped in countries. In 1930, Henri Desgrange gave up the idea that cyclist should race individually, and changed the format to real teams. They were categorized under different names 1909- 1914: Isolés 1919: Categorie B 1920- 1922: 2° Classe 1923- 1926: Touristes-Routiers 1937: Individuels. In those years, cyclists could also participate unsponsored. Although they had sponsors, they were not allowed to work as a team, because tour organiser Henri Desgrange wanted the Tour de France to be a display of individual strength. In the early years of the Tour de France, cyclists entered as individuals. History The "Challenge Martini" trophy for 1956, won by the Belgian national team There is no colored jersey for this, but the numbers on the jerseys of the members of the team with the best performance in the general classification at the end of the previous stage are against a yellow background instead of white. It has been awarded since 1930, and the calculation has changed throughout the years. The team classification is a prize given in the Tour de France to the best team in the race.

where I expect to see "commit message" but it isn't there → lost all changes, couldn't find a "reset" and probably didn't hit Undo early enough to undo the revert, so I tried to revert my revert for the sake of recovering my files → forgot some files, reverted to try to add them (oof, thought that it would do the equivalent of Undo since it was local) I also just lost a ton of work, and was wondering if this is related: I was able to go back to my "missing" commit via command line, even though the commit doesn't show up in desktop GUI History or in the command line git log. Additional Information LogsĮDIT: probably not the same issue since I never successfully used Undo. Undoing the original commit removes the changes from the Changes tab, so now it reflects what's on disk, and now there's data loss, as the change from step 1 is lost. So the Changes tab at this point is not reflecting the file on disk. If you only undo the revert commit, then view the file on disk, you'll see that it's back to the HEAD version, without the change from the commit in step 2, but the change is visible under Changes. I think this is the crux of the issue, as this is when things diverge between GitHub Desktop and the file on disk. When you undo the revert commit, the Changes tab shows the change from step 1 for that file, as if it's not committed by the commit from step 2, and the change is available to commit. This is the behavior that happens if you simply skipped step 3 and used undo on the commit from step 2. The change from step 1 should still be in the file. View file on disk, the change made in step 1 should be gone. There are now 2 local commits that haven't been pushed. Go to History tab, right-click on the local commit, 'Revert This Commit'.Make a commit for this change, but do not push, so that it stays local. We want to extend a huge thank you to for his work in helping make that a reality.Data loss can happen if you use the 'undo' functionality on a reverted local commit. Now in your commit history, you can choose to amend your last commit to update the commit message or add changes to the commit.įinally, with today’s release, users on Apple Silicon machines using the new M1 chip will upgrade to a native build of GitHub Desktop, improving performance and reducing crashes. If your working directory has a lot of existing changes and you just want to make a small change though, undo probably isn’t a great fit. GitHub Desktop has long included the ability to undo your last commit to place all of its changes back into your working directory. Now in Desktop, you can check out a new branch from any commit in your history, allowing you to easily view the state of your repo at that point in time while not negatively impacting the branch you’re working on. Many times, you may need to check out an older version of your project to investigate a bug or create a hotfix on top of your latest release. Start a new branch from an earlier commit When you merge, you also now have the option to squash and rebase as part of your merge.Īnd if commits are ordered in a way that’s disparate and hard to follow, now you can just drag and drop them wherever you’d like in your history. If a group of commits represents a single unit of work, or if a project requires that each pull request only has one commit, simply drag them on top of one another to squash them together and add a new commit message that captures the whole picture. Many developers care deeply about their commit history and use it to tell a coherent story about the progression of their project. There’s more of Git now in GitHub Desktop, allowing you to focus on what matters. We’re continuing that momentum and expanding drag and drop to allow you to squash and reorder commits in your history, amend previous commits, start new branches from earlier commits, and more. In GitHub Desktop 2.7, we released cherry-picking and introduced drag and drop, and in GitHub Desktop 2.8 we made several improvements to diffs. When Emlyn remained on the ground, Såbria spoke with more pique than she intended. You will never prostrate yourself before me.” “Emlyn, at times, we prostrate ourselves before the Goddess. She moved back and once again hiked one leg up onto the arm of her chair and crossed her arms. She stifled the sigh that always emerged whenever she received this reaction to the ring. While the woman’s face was plastered to the tile floor, Såbria rubbed her eyes with all ten fingers. What right did she have to stand in her presence?” This woman was marked by the Goddess herself. She dropped to her knees and then onto her face. Hearing that, Emlyn felt as though her heart would beat a hole in her chest. It appeared on my twenty-second nameday.” I wasn’t born with it, but neither was it applied artificially to my skin. Såbria moved closer and continued to hold out her hand. “Pardon, My Lady, but when you say marked by the Goddess, do you mean the previous Arch Priestess chose you and tattooed your skin?” Excerpt from Elyon’s Blades by Alison Naomi Holt So, if spending hours immersed in the lives of a group of women warriors sounds like your kind of a fun time (I mean, how can it not?) then grab a copy and get cozy. There is less action and world building, and more character building in this book which is a great way to introduce a series and get people invested. Other content warnings include an attempted suicide, engineered genetic breeding programs, and mass forced sterilization. There is also quite a bit of discussion surrounding corporeal punishment/breaking people in the context of training and some severe barracks bullying occurs. The story begins with a tragic forced breakup of two lovers as one is a queen and “for reasons” must marry a man. But this story is about Ailith, and she is delightfully complex and intriguing. Let’s be honest, a sect of women warriors that protects all women, is feared by the mightiest kingdoms, and lives with and loves one another is pretty darn fabulous. The foul mouthed, hot tempered, honourable, pain in the arse shiv, Ailith is the best part about this story. As this is only the first book in the series, I expect there is much more on this front to come though. Although, I do confess, there are quite a few opportunities for some drama, intrigue and conflict that I would have loved to have been explored more deeply. The world building is there, and it is interesting but the characters are the point of this book. Rather the book is used to establish the characters tell their stories, and by doing so, enable the reader to develop a deeper attachment to them. While the book has a fantasy setting, there aren’t any epic battles, long quests, or angry dragons harassing poor villages. The question is, will they stop quibbling and figure this out before it is too late? Writing Each woman will face their own trials as shivs however, it is only with the strength and support of the other, that they will be able to endure. They come from vastly different circumstances and their personalities clash more than sparring swords. The Blades hail from all over the land, and though they may be culturally different, they train and live together, forging their way toward a common goal – safety and, when necessary, vengeance for the women of the world.Īilith and Emlyn are the newest recruits to the Blades. Protecting the women of the realm is more than just their job, it is their divine duty. There exists a sect in the Cibian Empire that is far more ferocious than any army.Įntirely devoted to the Goddess Elyon and fiercely loyal to their Arch Priestess Såbria.Įlyon’s Blades are not to be trifled with. Elyon’s Blades by Alison Naomi Holt is the first book in The Daughter’s of Elyon series and is a fantasy novel that focuses on found family amongst a sect of women warriors and the bonds they create forged in training, battle and in relying entirely on each other. If the user's personal files are stored on an internal HDD, you can just unplug that drive from the motherboard, run the Windows Refresh and when you're sure the malware is gone, you can reconnect the HDD, assuming the malware isn't hiding on the HDD. You could try installing Malwarebytes and/or SuperAntiSpyware (both free) on this PC and see if they will run and remove malware. How did you create the bootable USB stick? Are you using Rufus like Norton recommends in their vid to create the disk with their ISO file on it? How is the USB stick formatted? It should be FAT32 format, and probably not bigger than 16 GB. After selecting the USB boot option on F12 menu PC doesn't boot?.USB boot option not offered on F12 menu?. I've never tried to boot from a Norton USB stick, but I have booted my XPS 8930 using a Macrium Reflect USB stick to recover an image of the SSD from an external USB drive, so USB booting is doable.Įxplain what happens when you try to boot from USB: Did you also check the Boot Option Priorities list in BIOS to see if there's a setting to support USB booting? But you will have to reinstall all other apps, eg Microsoft Office, browsers (other than Edge), games - I have Legacy Option ROM enabled and Secure Boot disabled in BIOS on my XPS 8930, and I assume you made/saved those changes on this PC. Refresh also keeps apps that came with the PC and the apps installed from the Microsoft Store. This will reinstall Windows, keeping personal files and settings. Worse/worse, just Refresh Win 10 from the image on the boot drive. If you still can't get it to work and/or you want to check with additional resources, you may want to try another (USB-based) portable removal tool . Keep in mind there's no guarantee Norton or any other anti-viral app will remove all malware. And with PC fully powered off, plug the USB stick in and follow what I said in previous paragraph. The PC will reboot automatically back to the desktop. If the F12 menu doesn't offer the USB boot option, you may have to go into BIOS setup and enable Legacy ROM support and disable Secure Boot. That should open the F12 boot menu where you should select "boot from USB". Then power PC on and immediately start tapping F12. Plug that USB stick into the PC with the power completely off. You don't want to change boot options in BIOS. Many of the network’s sitcoms have been around for quite awhile so the CBS execs knows they need to nurture new series. However, it should be noted that this sitcom holds up pretty well in the ratings even when preceded by a Big Bang Theory rerun.ĬBS head Les Moonves recently said that he expects five of the network’s freshman shows for second seasons. Life in Pieces has likely benefited quite a bit by having high-rated The Big Bang Theory as a lead-in. The series has continued to be a steady performer for CBS and is averaging a 2.03 in the demo with 8.83 million viewers. It continued to air on Monday nights for a few more weeks and then moved to its permanent timeslot on Thursdays at 8:30pm. Episode two dropped more than 22%, to a 1.94 in the demo with 8.71 million. The series debuted on September 21st and attracted a very healthy 2.63 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 11.28 million viewers. The cast includes James Brolin, Dianne Wiest, Thomas Sadoski, Angelique Cabral, Colin Hanks, Zoe Lister-Jones, Niall Cunningham, Betsy Brandt, and Dan Bakkedahl. Life in Pieces revolves around four branches of the Short family tree and their sometimes awkward, funny, and touching milestones. How is Life in Pieces performing? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a second season? However, the network doesn’t seem to have much sympathy for comedies that can’t pull their weight. The Big Bang Theory continues to be one of the highest-rated shows on television. Life in Pieces is a comedy series on CBS in its fourth season. The Seltos doesn’t have many downsides except for some irksome restrictions on optioning. For 2023, the Seltos also retains its Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Lots of safety gear is included, such as forward collision avoidance with pedestrian detection and automatic braking, lane-keep assist, driver attention warning, lane-follow assist and lane departure warnings, and even more is optional, including adaptive cruise control. All-wheel drive is standard on all but (strangely) the second-lowest trim. Its 68.2 cubic feet with the rear seats folded puts this large-ish subcompact at the top of this list in total cargo capacity, and passenger space is just as generous.Įquipment is too. While it doesn’t top every category by which small crossovers are judged the Taos overachieves in most.Ī relative newcomer to the subcompact segment, the Seltos wowed crossover buyers when it debuted in 2021 with its refined handling, superb infotainment, and sprightly optional turbocharged 1.6-liter engine, share with the Hyundai Kona. We’d opt for the AWD, as it also brings some suspension changes that improve the vehicle. For its sophomore year, Volkswagen has improved the Taos by adding standard safety gear and more features without hiking the price too much. While there’s no hybrid version and little pretense of off-road ability even with the optional 4Motion all-wheel drive (AWD), the Taos also sips fuel but is decidedly nicer to drive than the Nissan Kicks or other non-hybrid mileage makers. In fact, it leads the class in cargo volume and has one of the largest back seats in the group, which is a real boon for young families. The styling is handsome, just like the larger Tiguan and Atlas, and the interior looks upscale and has more room than most other competitors. As it happens, VW’s chassis engineers and designers put together a package that many might like just much as the Golf, and one that’s even more practical.Īlthough the Taos only offers one engine, no manual transmission and is weightier than the old Golf, it drives well enough to entertain drivers better than many of pint-sized SUVs it does battle with. To fill the Golf’s big shoes along came the Volkswagen Taos, a small crossover aimed at exactly the same buyers. lineup in 2021, but today’s shoppers want crossovers far more often than they want hatchbacks. Read Less Read Moreįans of cheap, fun-to-drive small cars were dismayed when Volkswagen dropped the standard Golf from its U.S. What we’ve ended up with is not a long list, but there are several gems here that prove that a dainty size does not need to mean compromise and austerity. But to avoid the penalty-box problem, subcompacts must also wow potential buyers with a comfortable and feature-rich interior, a pleasant drive, baseline standard safety tech, and an acceptable amount cargo space-a tall order for the tiniest of vehicles. Shoppers in this segment are looking for cheap, maneuverable, and fuel-efficient-and “small” is a component that you can’t separate out of that equation. This list is grounded in the principle that small is inherently good. Of course, small vehicles and affordable ones often skimp on space, comfort or features, which highlights the challenge of making what is small also good: what does the shrimpiest subcompact need in order to gain acceptance from buyers? Because of supply chain shortages and late model changeovers, our list also includes models from 20, and some 2022 model-year vehicles will remain on sale for several more months. Honda’s HR-V, formerly one of the best very small crossovers, is now a very small compact model for 2023.Īlthough it’s a broad definition, we define “subcompact” as any SUV less than 177 inches long. In calendar year 2023 Toyota will also unveil a hybrid Corolla Cross, a model that was new in 2022. Smaller machines also tend to have lower prices, and subcompact models are the most affordable SUVs on the market.Īs their sales have spiked, so too has the quality and variety of entries in this small class, and 2023 sees the debut of an all-new Kia Niro while aging entries like the Chevy Trax and Ford EcoSport have fallen away. Although the proliferation of hybrids means you don’t have to sacrifice space for mpg as in the same way you did 25 years ago, laws of physics still dictate that less weight and size means less energy expended. SUVs continue to dominate the sales charts, but 2022’s high gas and vehicle prices sent buyers looking for, smaller, cheaper and more fuel-efficient models. We love our customers! Come back tomorrow for more amazing inspiration! I hope you enjoyed and I’ve inspired you to give this card a try for yourself. Top Panel = 4 x 5-1/4” Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″.Card Base = 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″.Doesn’t it just scream “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!?!” It’s now a fun and colorful rainbow card. I used Tonic Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ebony Black. And of course, no card is complete without some Nuvo Drops. I finished off the card by adding some highlights with my White Uni-Ball UM 153 Signo Broad Point Gel Pen and some splatters with Craft Smart Acrylic Paint in Black. If you have black Alphabet stickers that you like and fit inside the window, you can use those. Since they were white I colored them with a black marker and addded them to the card in the middle window. I also used white alphabet stickers from my stash for the “50”. Lastly, I stamped the “happy birthday” sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Exclusive 6×8 Inch Window Frames clear stamp set onto a scrap of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ and fussycut it out, separating the two words. Once colored I all the images, I adhered the panel to the card base with 3M Foam Tape and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhered some of the additional balloons. Not gonna lie, this took a long time to color but I usually just watch a movie or Youtube videos while doing it so it makes it more fun. I also stamped additional balloons onto scraps of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″, which I will pop up later with foam squares.īefore I started coloring all the images, I stamped some of the tiny sentiments in between the windows using the same Memento Tuxedo Black Ink (COPIC-friendly ink). To do this, I just lined up the stamp on the card panel using my Tim Holtz Tonic Craft Travel Stamp Platform, removed the top panel, and stamped in the card base. I also stamped some balloons in the inside of the windows so it looks like balloons continue on the inside. I wanted this card to look like a party on paper! I stamped some of the confetti pieces around the card to fill up the white space. To stamp balloons that look like they are behind the balloons around the windows, I stamped the balloon border on to Masking Paper, fussycut it out, and placed it over the balloon border image before stamping additional balloons. I stamped the balloon border from the Simon Says Stamp Exclusive 6×8 Inch Window Frames clear stamp set around the windows and also some extra balloons with the additional balloon and string stamp included in the stampset using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I diecut the trio window using the Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Trio Window Wafer Die from the top panel, offsetting it from the center slightly. Then I cut another piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 4 x 5-1/4” to create top panel. I started by cutting a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest Cardstock 8.5 X 11″ to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″ to create a card base. All the items from the kit are sold seperately so no need to fret if you don’t have the kit. This fun and colorful card was made using the Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Trio Window Wafer Die and Simon Says Stamp Exclusive 6×8 Inch Window Frames clear stamp set included in the Simon Says Stamp February 2020 Card Kit.
