However, it should be noted that this sitcom holds up pretty well in the ratings even when preceded by a Big Bang Theory rerun.ĬBS head Les Moonves recently said that he expects five of the network’s freshman shows for second seasons. Life in Pieces has likely benefited quite a bit by having high-rated The Big Bang Theory as a lead-in. The series has continued to be a steady performer for CBS and is averaging a 2.03 in the demo with 8.83 million viewers. It continued to air on Monday nights for a few more weeks and then moved to its permanent timeslot on Thursdays at 8:30pm. Episode two dropped more than 22%, to a 1.94 in the demo with 8.71 million. The series debuted on September 21st and attracted a very healthy 2.63 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 11.28 million viewers. The cast includes James Brolin, Dianne Wiest, Thomas Sadoski, Angelique Cabral, Colin Hanks, Zoe Lister-Jones, Niall Cunningham, Betsy Brandt, and Dan Bakkedahl. Life in Pieces revolves around four branches of the Short family tree and their sometimes awkward, funny, and touching milestones. How is Life in Pieces performing? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a second season? However, the network doesn’t seem to have much sympathy for comedies that can’t pull their weight. I get so excited, that I really do not feel nervous. What is it like auditioning for roles? Do you ever get nervous? I also enjoy my dance, piano and tennis lessons. My favorite thing other than acting is painting. Other than acting, what are some hobbies you have? When Lark finds out that her Mommy has another baby in her tummy, she is NOT at all excited, but when I found out my Mommy is pregnant in real life, I was very happy. I like how Lark can be very silly and how different she actually is from me. ![]() Tell us about your character, Lark! What do you like about playing her? I love being creative and using my imagination! He always makes sure I understand what the scene is about and helps with all my questions. Learn all my lines, really listen to my scene partner, so that I can respond naturally and not be over the top. I have always enjoyed acting, even before Starbucks, I make up stories to act out at home. Suddenly I start to go to castings and Life in Pieces was one of them. My Mom tells me that a lady discovered me at Starbucks. How did you get your start into acting? When did you discover it was something you enjoy doing? I also learn a lot, because they do something different each take. I love it because they always make jokes or do silly things. Your parents on the show are played by Zoe Lister-Jones and Colin Hanks. We had the chance to discuss her role, how she got into acting and what she likes to do when the cameras are off:Ĭliché: This is your first acting job! How have you enjoyed being a part of Life in Pieces?Īna: I love acting and enjoy being on this set so much because they are all so nice to me! I love seeing everyone! It’s my favorite activity! The young scene-stealer began auditioning for roles at the age of three and landed her first ever role as Lark! If her acting skills aren’t impressive enough, Ana is also fluent in German and is currently learning Spanish and French in between Preschool and dance classes! Ana Sophia Heger plays Lark Short, the youngest star in the series and the adorable child of Greg (Colin Hanks) and Jennifer Short (Zoe Lister-Jones). The show chronicles the lives of the Short Family as the large three-generation family delivers heartwarming, hilarious and awkward moments to viewers! The all-star ensemble cast includes Colin Hanks, Zoe Lister-Jones, Angelique Cabral, Betsy Brandt and is led by the legendary Dianne Wiest and James Brolin.
